In your e-locker on Plus Portals, you will find your schedule for the 2018 – 2019 school year. These courses have been planned in conjunction with recommendations from counselors and teachers and/or academic performance. Where conflicts occurred they were resolved by giving priority to academic solids and graduation requirements over electives. Placement in Honors courses requires approval of the department, the Dean of Studies and an “A” grade in the prerequisite course(s).
Your schedule should contain the following:
British Literature or AP English Language
United States History or Advanced Placement United States
Algebra 2, Honors Algebra 2/Trig, or an advanced mathematics
Two (2) ELECTIVES
PLEASE review your schedule to make certain that you are enrolled in the proper curriculum for your grade level. Please do not be concerned with room numbers at this time. Because there is a possibility of an error in the printing of schedules, check the following:
Are you listed for a class each period? (A through F)
Are you listed for two courses during the same period?
Are you listed for two periods of the same course?
Are you missing any required courses?
All course requests were reviewed after the June semester grades. Adjustments from the June course request forms have been made on some schedules since all guidelines published in the course catalog have been strictly observed. Also, some period conflicts may exist with your selected courses.

If you encounter a schedule problem based on any of these questions, please contact the school after August 1. THERE WILL BE NO ONE AT THE SCHOOL AUTHORIZED TO EFFECT SCHEDULE CHANGES UNTIL AFTER AUGUST 1. PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE THE SCHOOL UNTIL AFTER AUGUST 1 CONCERNING ANY SCHEDULE PROBLEM.
Until school begins, schedule changes may be initiated only for the above listed reasons. Any other schedule change may be made in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Student/Parent Handbook once school is in session.
Our school policy does not permit students to switch classes due to teacher preference.
We would like to remind students and parents that each student is required to complete each course in which he is enrolled. There will be a two-week period at the beginning of the semester in which a student may correct schedule conflicts, provided he receives a parental signature and approval from the Counselor and the Dean of Studies. After the second week of instruction there will be NO class changes except in extraordinary circumstances.
